Hoan's Plan to Reduce The Costs of Living for You and Your Family
Illinois State Representative Hoan Huynh introduced the Billionaire Hedge Fund Fee Act to address America's worsening affordability crisis and bring down costs of living for 9th District constituents.
This fee calls for a 1/5 of one penny charge on all investment transactions of multi-billion-dollar hedge funds and giant investment banks.
It does not apply to individual investors monitoring their own 401(k)s or investment portfolios.
This fee can raise $12 billion dollars for Illinois each year without increasing taxes on working families a single dime.
These additional dollars will go back into the pockets of everyday Illinoisans through property tax rollbacks, mass transit fare and road toll reductions, and covering gaps in healthcare and public school funding.
It is time for multi-billion-dollar hedge fund corporations and giant investment banks to pay their fair share, so that working and middle-class families get reduced property taxes, lower costs of healthcare, and transit fares.
